She was not a breed champion, she did not earn any
agility, obedience, or herding titles. She was not a therapy dog, nor was she a search and rescue
dog, she had none of those titles we humans see as important. No she had no titles given by us, hers
was a title only God could have given, a title much greater than any human could have ever award her with.
You see from the time I held Tyler in the palm of
my hand at just two days old I knew she was sent to us with a purpose. She was to be our protector, to be
our friend and to be our comforter. She was sent to us to take care of us during a time when Shane and I were alone.
At a time when I had to go to work and leave my daughter home alone. Tyler was there for Shane each and every day when
she came home from school, she was there to comfort her when she felt alone, she was there to protect her from things that
go bump in the night, she was there to love her.
Tyler was sent to us to make us laugh, to remind us
of the simple things in life, long walks, playing with the hose, playing
ball, and just enjoying each other. She was always there, no matter how bad of a day we may have had Ty greeted us with
a smile and a woo woo...she loved us unconditionally.
Tonight, just shy of 17 years we had to say goodbye
to our Ty Ty. She gave us her all, and never asked for anything in return except a good ear rub.
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our
image, according to Our likeness; let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle
and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Thank you Lord for giving us this duty, please
give those strength to rule. In the name of Jesus Amen.
It is an honer and a great responsibility we have
been given to look after the creatures God has given us...I will never take this responsibility lightly.
My heart is broken, my life has forever been changed,
and I am a better person because my family and I were blessed by our beloved Tyler, may she rest in peace, our good and faithful
friend.
She will be missed but never forgotten.
